CARLO BELLIENI

Professor Carlo Bellieni teaches pediatrics at the University of Siena (Italy). His field of research is infantile and fetal pain, where he has published books, chapters of encyclopaedias and numerous articles of high scientific impact. He recently published the textbook "A new evolutive-holistic approach to Pediatric Palliative Care" for the publisher Springer. His studies have been taken up by the mass media all over the world, especially those on pollution caused by physical factors and those on social human behavior such as laughter and tears.

 
CARINA ESCOBAR
Carina Escobar has been the president of the Platform of Patient Organizations (POP) for 5 years and has lived with a chronic illness since she was 12 years old, which was when she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and, at the age of 18, with ankylosing spondylitis. She developed her professional career in the ONCE social group and, since 2016, she is also the general secretary of UNIMID. 
DAVID FLORES
President of the Spanish Association of Patients DAVD-DAI. He is affected by arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy and wears an ICD (Implanted Cardioverter Defibrillator). He created the Association after having a cardiac event, ventricular tachycardia while playing soccer, reversed with three shocks with a defibrillator by the SAMUR emergency services.
He has been retired for 9 years due to his illness. 
JAVIER FONT
President of FAMMA – Cocemfe Madrid and of the 360 Foundation for Personal Autonomy, as well as Vice President and Coordinator of the Personal Autonomy area of CERMI Madrid.
He is a member of the Council for the Promotion of Accessibility and Removal of Architectural Barriers and the Advisory Council for People with Disabilities of the Community of Madrid and the Municipal Council for Disability of the Madrid City Council. 
MARIA JOSE BORREGO GUTIERREZ
Professor of Physiology and Physiopathology at the Faculty of Medicine of the CEU San Pablo University of Madrid. Her work is mainly focused on a full-time teaching activity combined with a research activity and teaching innovation. She is the director of the Science and Humanism seminars that are held every year at her University.

MONICA LOPEZ BARAHONA
President of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation in Spain and Holder of the International Chair of Bioethics "Jérôme Lejeune". TONIO BORG

Tonio Borg is Associate Professor in Public Law at the University of Malta. He is a former European Commissioner , and former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs   of Malta. He was member  of the Maltese Parliament between 1992-2012. He is the author of several books On Maltese Constitutional Law.

ANNETTE HANSON

Dr. Annette Hanson is the program director for the University of Maryland forensic psychiatry fellowship program. She teaches civil rights law to psychiatrists in training and served as an expert witness in correctional litigation over suicide prevention. As chair of the Maryland Psychiatric Society's legislative committee she testified regarding assisted suicide laws and provided written testimony in several American jurisdictions.
